We planned our wedding day long before anything was official!
By the time Zahn asked me to marry him, we had already invited our guests and some had booked plane tickets.

Despite knowing it was coming – I was still taken completely by surprise. After a stressful morning, Zahn suggested a walk at our local spot. There’s a small beach that is usually deserted and he suggested we check it out (not unusual for us). As we walked along he was looking at his phone. I said to him “you’re distracted – is everything ok?” He said, “yeah – can I read you something?” Even at this moment I expected that he was about to read me a tricky client email or something that he wanted advice on. Instead, he said, “these are the reasons I want to marry you”.
And I just cried and cried. He had a ring made by our wonderful friend Niquita (attending the wedding!) which I had no idea about. He bloody nailed it.
