“I absolutely love fireworks, and in the lead up to the proposal Michael was dropping hints about going alone to the Guy Fawkes show at the waterfront. I knew that was going to be when he asked! A couple of weekends before, he casually suggested we go and check out the tulips blooming at the botanical gardens. We sat down in a garden full of daphne and blossoms with no one around and he asked to spend the rest of his life with me. I was so surprised, it was perfect.”

“Letting the professionals do their job was great. We trusted our vendors so much to have everything organised – after all, that’s their job! Everyone came through and exceeded our expectations. Although in hindsight we could have practiced a little more for our first dance, but we still have no regrets. How it worked out (a little awkward and uncoordinated) was pretty representative of our dancing ability.”
