Jess & Shane

Some words from Jess

1. What was the inspiration behind your wedding theme / vibe? Focus was always around the party, good food, alcohol & music. It was always a sort of industrial feel venue we wanted- to create something most wedding’s don’t have. We wanted to use rich colours, rich tones of red, burgundy with the flowers accented with metallic tones.

2. Favourite detail and/or moment of the day? Pouring shots of mandarino (italian liquor made especially for the day) for everyone at the bar to get the party started

3. Did you undertake any DIY projects, if so what? Invitations was about as far DIY as I stretched, mostly avoided this at all costs

4. Any funny stories in the lead up to or on the day?  Stress of everything in lead up to the wedding is almost laughable. A few days before the wedding dad had gone to the venue to check things out, and there was flowers falling from the trees- he was so stressed we would have ‘pollen’ in the food we had to hire a load of umbrellas to protect everything. The detail!

5. Advice for other couples planning a wedding?  Just get it done!! Everything we did was worth it in the end. Everyone would always tell me the usual clichés leading up to the day “its such an important day in your lives”. It wasn’t until the actual day this sunk in- it was such an amazing & memorable day.
