“It was James and I’s first day on holiday in Japan and James wanted to go for an hour long walk to Osaka Castle – really the last thing I wanted to do after a long flight, but he was very excited about it, so I obliged! When we arrived, the castle was full of tourists and after a long walk, I was ready to head on back. Again, James’ persistence paid off and we continued to walk through the surrounding grounds. We walked past a balcony which was sectioned off as “no entry” which James jumped over and then lead me through. There, on the balcony looking over the moat surrounding the castle and completely secluded James dropped to one knee. It was such a surreal moment and so emotional for both of us.”

“With quite a large guest list we were actually quite restricted in venues we could use in Perth. I had looked through a few wedding blogs and loved the mood created from being in a wine cellar. After a bit of research, we went and saw Sandalford Wines in Swan Valley and both loved that The Underground Cellar was almost a blank canvas and didn’t feel like a typical wedding venue. When we found out it could also accommodate our guest list it was an easy yes and we booked it that day!”
