Ash and Tom got engaged on their holidays in Perth in May 2020. They wanted their wedding day to reflect their personalities, which they describe as “chaotic and fun.” Their chosen theme was a festival dedicated to them, with elements that they love and enjoy doing together.

On their wedding day last March 18, 2023, they were most looking forward to saying their vows to each other and spending the day celebrating with their favourite people. They also continued their rivalry in beer pong, adding to the fun and chaos of the day.

Their top tips for future couples are to follow their gut instincts and make changes if something does not feel right. They emphasised the importance of knowing your “essentials” and prioritising them. For them, it was a party vibe, the best photographer (thank you James), and an epic dance floor. Lastly, they reminded couples that the wedding day is just one day, and what’s important is each other. Despite things going wrong during the planning stage, they relied on each other and made the day about them, and the Perth City Farm Wedding turned out exactly as it was supposed to.
