Elizabeth + Matt’s Wavehouse Studios Wedding

Elizabeth + Matt – Yallingup – Wavehouse Studios Wedding
feat. Hello May

Cue Wavehouse Studios! We’d been searching for a little while but nothing grabbed us quite like Wavehouse. I was lunching with a girlfriend and she mentioned her and a group of friends looked into booking the venue for a weekend away and that it was worth a look as it ticked all of our boxes. Wasn’t she right! I contacted the caretaker, Tracy, through Air BnB and we arranged to view the property. From the bumpy drive up the windy gravel road, we knew this was it. It’s somewhere you can’t explain its entirety without seeing it – the beauty is unwavering. It’s so natural and raw, untouched and peaceful. Uninterrupted views of the Indian ocean, two beautifully unique and different houses built from natural materials and the most amazing amphitheater.”
“There was no specific ‘theme’ for our day, I tried to let go of the controlling reigns I so often hold and let all of our amazing vendors do the work. I trusted them to catch our vibe and create a day that mirrored Matt & I. No one disappointed! I did throw a few ‘boho-esque’ cues around but didn’t decide on any one style as I don’t enjoy the pressure of expecting a result that I’ve made up in my head or found on a Pinterest board prior. I suppose, in short, my biggest inspiration was minimalistic. Less is more. I wanted the cave and surrounds to speak for themselves, my stunning dress to do the talking, and everything to just look so effortless.”
Oh, and if there’s one thing you’re going to invest your money in, let it be your photographer. James was by far the most important part of our day and waking up the following day to some sneak peeks that took our breath away just reinforced how important it is to choose carefully because once all the dust settles, your photos are all you have to share with the world and you want to be proud of them!”
