Lauren + Josh’s Meelup Farmhouse Wedding
15/02/2020
Lauren + Josh’s Meelup Farmhouse Wedding in Eagle Bay, WA.
“7 November 2020 We had spent the day walking in the hills where Lauren grew up, and we had organised to have a casual picnic with Laurens parents at Matilda Bay that evening. Knowing that Lauren’s parents are always late, Josh suggested that we check out the new building at St Georges College, UWA. After walking around for a bit, we walked down to the front lawn of the College. Under the big beautiful tree, Josh got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. It was at St Georges College that we had met almost 11 years before in our first year of university. We both had tears rolling down our faces and it was the most surreal but amazing moment. We went down to meet Lauren’s mum and dad, and little brother Iain for celebratory champagne on the foreshore!!”
“We don’t really have a theme but if we did “Australian luxury country” – eucalyptus, white and blush roses, linens, and relaxed beach vibe with some of our favourite people!”
“Bringing our families and friends together, and celebrating our love in a very special place.”
“Try and enjoy the process (with a glass of wine in hand), and make it fun. There will be things that you cannot control (thanks Covid!), so try not to worry about them and focus on what’s important. It’s the first celebration of your marriage, but not the last!”
