“We got engaged in June 2019 in Biarritz, France. We were travelling after attending the wedding of some friends from Shanghai. Matt had pulled off an international logistical miracle with the ring travelling from his mum in Bangalow, New South Wales to Kate’s parents in Perth, Western Australia who then carried it to meet Kate and Matt in Bordeaux, France where Kate and Matt had travelled to from Shanghai where they were living. All without Kate having an inclining of what was going on. Matt popped the question at a gorgeous chateau overlooking the Pyrenees. “

If you can afford to outsource it; outsource it. If it can be simplified, simplify it. If it can be done in advance, do it. We ended up having a pretty stressful time trying to move internationally and both changing jobs in the weeks before the wedding. We were very grateful for the decisions we had made earlier to make things easier.
